Wispalooza 2024 – Las Vegas
Recently WISPAU attended the Wispalooza event in Las Vegas put on by Wireless Internet Service Providers Association, The Association for Broadband Without Boundaries. (WISPA – https://www.wispa.org)
The event celebrated the 20th anniversary of WISPA and was held in Las Vegas between October 14th to October 17th.
Over 200 exhibitors attended, and with more than 70 panels and sessions with topics ranging in all fields of a WISP from business strategies, networks, equipment, finance, legal and more. There were also networking events held by vendors and WISPA that were valuable to meet and discuss opportunities in the WISP industry.
There was over 2500 attendees at the event and there was a wide range of WISP owners across America and worldwide attending the event that was held between the Horseshoe and Paris Convention centers.

The event was an excellent opportunity for WISPAU to discuss directly with vendors opportunities and new upcoming equipment that will continue to drive higher reliability and faster connectivity via wireless.
It also provided feedback from the many WISP’s in the United States (and across from other parts of the world) that WISPs are becoming competitive against fiber and LEO options in the market and that there is exciting opportunities in the near future for improved coverage, service, reliability and competitiveness.
WISPAU recently had a special general meeting with WISPAU members online (and the recording of the meeting is available in the members only section) and a presentation has also been placed in the members only download section containing highlights from the event.
