SOCI Workshop: Critical Infrastructure and the Threat of Foreign Interference

Foreign interference is not a new phenomenon. However, contemporary technology now means foreign interference can be conducted at unimaginable scale, with dizzying speed, and deftly with pinpoint accuracy. Whatever the manifestation, foreign interference is happening now. You and your organisation may be the target, though you may never know it.

What you will gain
In this workshop Pentagram explains what foreign interference is, the difference between foreign influence and foreign interference, interference in the context of critical infrastructure, and explores the actions critical infrastructure entities might take to better protect assets and operations.

This should be a thought-provoking discussion for people who operate and protect Australia’s critical infrastructure, and also for the rest of us who rely on critical infrastructure services to enable our daily life.

Who should attend?

Any person connected with an entity that is obliged under the SOCI Act to establish and operate a CIRMP. Protective security practitioners. People interested in contemporary threats.
