WISPAU keen to see AFC Progress in Australia
WISPAU, Cambium Networks and Qualcomm have been working for over a year discussing what a potential trial would look like in Australia with the ACMA.
An AFC trial has now been approved under a Scientific License with the trial to last 12 months. During this time reports will be provided to the ACMA on the AFC trial.
The Importance of AFC for WISPS in Australia
It cannot be understated the importance of allowing WISPs access to this spectrum to deliver improved network services and drive market competition for broadband services across all areas of Australia.
WISPAU looks forward to the ongoing discussions of the AFC in the 6Ghz spectrum with the ACMA with a view that WISPs will be able to deliver improved high speed services in Australia.
