Discussion on what the meeting and potential ACMA decisions on 6Ghz may have for WISPAU members. \nDiscussion on submission from WISPAU to ACMA. \nIPART (Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal NSW) is seeking review of rents for communication sites on Crown Land\nDiscussion on the issues paper by IPART (see here – https://www.ipart.nsw.gov.au/documents/issues-paper/issues-paper-review-rents-communication-sites-certain-crown-land-26-february-2024?timeline_id=16818) on review of rents on comms towers on Crown land. \nThe Issues Paper also seeks stakeholder feedback on issues\, such as: \n\nDetails of current rental arrangements for communication sites on private land\nWhether recent changes in ownership arrangements for mobile network towers has influenced rents.\nHow best to incorporate the social cultural and environmental value of national parks land in recommending rents for communication towers in national parks. Currently National Parks sets the price of their sites one category higher than other land agencies. The National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 requires that national park land cannot be used for communication facilities if there is a feasible alternative site available.\n\nIf WISPAU is to make a submission it is to be by Tuesday 2nd April. \nWe encourage members who are in NSW and affected by the above to attend the meeting so that a proposal can be submitted by WISPAU or miss the required deadline for submissions. \nTarana G1 Presentation Reminder\nReminder for RSVP to the Tarana G1 presentation on March 27th. \nWe invite all members to login via the new website and RSVP online and join the meeting. \nIf you have issues joining\, please contact us at president@wispau.au.
